Engineering Science (M.A.Sc., M.Eng)

With the possibility of completing the Master of Engineering in only one year, you can bolster your career with a plan for advancement.

Overview

Use creativity and technological tools to design sustainable processes for resource management at Canada's Mining University.

Choose from a Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) or Master of Applied Science (M.A.Sc).

M.A.Sc. (research based) and M.Eng. (project based) students may focus in the following areas:

  1. Mining Engineering
  2. Mining-Mechanical Engineering
  3. Mechanical Engineering
  4. Mechatronics Engineering
  5. Chemical Engineering
  6. Sustainability
  7. Bioprocesses
  8. Extractive Metalurgy
  9. Process Engineering

M.Eng.* (course based) students may focus in three areas:

  1. Mining Engineering
  2. Mechanical Engineering
  3. Mining-Mechanical Engineering

* A fast-track option of this program can be completed in one year.

Benefit from a unique perspective, not available in other North American universities, in this field as it applies to the mining, mine-mechanical, and mineral processing sector.

Apply your knowledge to areas in environment protection, monitoring sources of pollution, reducing resource wastage, and prevention of system failures. Consider and analyze the human impact on the natural systems around us.
