Biography

Elizabeth Levin is the Acting Chair of the Department of Psychology. She is a member of the graduate programs in Psychology, Human Development and Human Sciences and is also an Associate Professor at the Northern Ontario School of Medicine. She teaches child development, parenting, health psychology and clinical child psychology in the undergraduate program and teaches assessment and diagnosis, and human development to graduate students. Levin graduated from McGill University with an Honours Bachelor of Science degree and received her Master's and Doctorate in child psychology from the University of Waterloo. Levin frequently speaks to the media on parenting and child development issues. A registered clinical child psychologist, Levin also consults for several agencies providing services to children and families.

Research

Elizabeth Levin's research interests focus on parenting and children's conceptions of parenting, and on youth mental health.
