Bursaries and Scholarships

 

Laurentian University awards personal achievement and grants over

$3.5 million each year in the form of a bursary and/or scholarship.

Examples of Scholarship programs:

 

Guaranteed Scholarship Program:

This is a renewable scholarship, it is available to students who maintain a

consecutive grade average of 80% or greater. It is available every year.

 

Here’s is the grade point system based on average scored:

 

80% average............................................... $1,000 to $4,000

85% average............................................... $2,000 to $8,000

90% average............................................. $2,500 to $10,000

95% average............................................. $3,500 to $14,000

 

National Dean’s Entrance Scholarship Program:

This scholarship is the most prestigious of its kind. It is valued at $20,000

and paid in lump sums of $5,000 over a four year period of study.

It includes a mentorship opportunity with the Dean, a private study carrel

in the library and a single room residence on campus.
